Hey there!
I just had to tell you about this awesome exhibition I went to last Saturday! It's called "On My Way to Paradise" by the incredibly talented artist Shaun Tan, and it was held at the Beinart Gallery. Let me give you the lowdown on what I saw.
The exhibition showcased a fantastic mix of original artworks from Shaun Tan's recent retrospective book, "Creature." You'll also find original paintings from his award-winning collection, "Tales from The Inner City" and other captivating stories. And guess what? These amazing pieces are up for sale for the very first time! How cool is that?
The exhibition started on April 30th and will be running until May 21st, so you still have time to check it out if you're interested.
Oh, and here's another exciting tidbit: Beinart Gallery also offers a wide range of limited-edition prints by Shaun Tan. So, if you're looking for something unique to adorn your walls, you're in luck!
What I loved about this exhibition is how each artwork explores the idea of "paradise" as this elusive and almost unattainable concept. You know, that ideal state or destination that always seems just out of reach. It's a reminder that real life has a way of challenging our fantasies, but it also surprises us with unexpected moments of happiness and beauty. Sometimes, the most profound experiences happen while we're on a journey, going through dark rooms or taking unexpected detours. And you know what? We might not even notice them as we chase after some imaginary place where everything is perfect.
I highly recommend visiting this exhibition if you're a fan of Shaun Tan's incredible illustrations. It's a thought-provoking and visually stunning display that will leave you inspired and captivated. Trust me, you won't want to miss it!
